Since the establishment of our company, Mr. Guo Zhuocai, the board chairman and initiator, has put forward a culture conception ¡°Down-to-earth, Progressive, Studious and Innovative¡± in a systematic manner drawing on his struggle experience and enterprise operation experience, as well as industry development trend. Here, down-to-earth means to work in a diligent and highly efficient manner and take an honest and practical attitude. Progressive means to take an aggressive attitude in pursuit of better performance. Studious means to be eager for new knowledge and keep abreast of with the times. Innovative means to uphold improvement and reform for continuous development. Our enterprise culture is based on diligence and innovation. As an embodiment of indomitable courage and scientific development spirit, our culture is always a behavior guide for constant development of the company and employees.


To turn our enterprise culture into the soul of company management, we actively promote system construction by inviting several famous experts to standardize company management and impel various reforms. We make every effort to promote the construction of ISO9001:2000 quality management system to realize customer orientation and continuous development. We also establish a set of feasible procedures and regulations to put the ¡°Diligent¡± concept into employees¡¯ mind. In addition, when realizing that excellent human resources (HRs) and HR management is the root to hand down enterprise culture for generations, we gradually set up and perfect the people-oriented HR management and incentive mechanisms to encourage employees to keep studying and make progresses. Besides, we offer education and trainings for employees to improve their quality and skills. Every year, there are many employees awarded by government, more than 100 employees awards by our company, and over 30 employees promoted. Our excellent culture forges a lot of standout employees and it is gradually immerging into every employee¡¯s mind.

To deeply root our enterprise culture into employees¡¯ mind, we not only strengthen the corporate culture construction but also endeavor to create a harmonious culture atmosphere. Based on a comprehensive understanding of the significance of corporate culture construction, Mr. Guo and his team take the following actions to create a great environment for employees and establish harmonious employee-employer relations and employee relations: 1) Invest in building a ¡°Staff Home¡± to solve the problems regarding employees¡¯ daily life and the difficulties encountered by couples who live apart from each other; 2) Set up a ¡°Study Center¡± to periodically carry out various trainings and encourage employees to study new knowledge and skills and get inspiration from learning; 3) Set up a broadcasting station and launch an internal magazine--Huawei People, so that employees can express their opinions freely and meantime the top management can know employees¡¯ thoughts in time and promote the company mechanisms; 4) Periodically hold recreational and sport activities and provide physical examinations for free to keep employees¡¯ mental and physical conditions in good state.

The success of an enterprise generally originates from intrinsic corporate cultural force as well as external social support. While making constant progress, we show our loving concern and make contributions to the community and society; cherish environment and take an active part in implementing ISO14001:2004 environment management system; advocate ecology-friendly design concept; control and minimize environmental pollution; periodically organize employees to participate in various social activities to constantly extend our corporate culture and demonstrate the excellent spiritual and moral outlook of Huawei employees.

The tenet ¡°Full of Compassion for Others and Concerned About Social¡± is a common quality of all our employees and also part of our corporate culture. The ¡°Annual Letter of Thanks to Employees¡¯ Families¡± shows our concern to employees¡¯ families while our company expands. We have always extended our considerate concern and financial aid for hard-up employees and families. In the past decade, we have donated over RMB 8 million successively for Project Hope and poverty families under the leadership of Guo Zhuocai. For example, make donations for kidney transplant of two residents, and brain operation for a child in Guanshan Xi¡¯nan Town, Chenghai District, Shantou; make donations for the operation of a leukemia patient from another province in China; give financial aid for several dropouts in Chenghai District; make donations for Guizhou province to build hope schools; make donations for building hospitals and police fund. Countless donations and financial aid have earned us over 50 honorary titles, and Mr. Guo Zhuocai also obtained many a honorary titles such as ¡°Excellent CPC Member¡±, ¡°National Labor Model¡± and ¡°National Excellent Veteran¡±.

An excellent corporate culture is an important condition for an enterprise to survive and develop for a long time. We have attached great importance to the role of corporate culture in the enterprise operation and management since our inception in 1997. It is just the powerful cohesion generated by our corporate culture that drives us develop and stride towards success.
